ToolTrack Secure Large File Management

CFMS is an optional functional module for ToolTrack, integrated directly within the ToolTrack UI, to support the secure storage and organization of files resulting from your ToolTrack-related workflows. These could be microscope images, machine logs, process videos or anything in between. Unlike the simple file attachments included in the ToolTrack process form that are capped at 5 MB by default, there is no limit on file size. CFMS also provides control over the folder structure and detailed context tags associated with each file, allowing for a single pane of glass to manage all MES-related information, regardless of format.

CFMS includes two additional components:

1. Stand-alone portal application: users who are not familiar with ToolTrack (or don’t need access) can still upload, organize and retrieve files with an intuitive interface. Like ToolTrack, the CFMS Portal supports SSO/ 2FA, and includes unlimited user accounts.
2. Sync Service: a lightweight utility that can be installed on any Windows machine to watch a specific network folder and securely upload files to CFMS. There is no limit to the number of Sync Services, but a dedicated service is required for each watched folder.

• CFMS stores files in secure, dedicated Amazon Web Services (AWS) S3 Buckets that are physically located in the same country as the ToolTrack deployment and are fully managed by Chain Reaction Systems. No third party will have access to CFMS, including AWS personnel, and the customer doesn’t need an AWS account. All interactions with CFMS are contained completely within ToolTrack/Portal/Sync-Service applications and our proprietary APIs.


• CFMS files are encrypted at rest in the S3 Bucket, and all communication between ToolTrack/CFMS portal/Sync Service and CFMS is secured via TLSv1.3 and AWS Signature Version 4 (SigV4).
